4th Annual Walk to End Genocide (Service)
Event date: Sunday, April 18, 2010, 07:00:00 - 11:00:00 (4 hours)
The Walk to End Genocide raises both awareness and the support that is vital to making efforts to end genocide a reality.

WHY WALK?
The Darfur genocide is now in its 7th year, during which 400,000 innocent Darfuris have been systematically murdered with no end in sight. Among the most chilling world conflicts is the brutal war in Eastern Congo in which over 5.5 million civilians have been slaughtered in the past 12 years. We are facing a world in which there are over 30 conflicts now at high risk of genocide.

This is a 3-mile walk beginning and ending at Warner Center Park. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the walk is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

After the walk, there will be an Awareness Fair including refreshments, information booths, solar cooker demonstrations, guest speakers, and a drumming circle! All participants will receive a special Walk t-shirt.

Go online at www.WalktoEndGenocide.org to register with the USC team. There is an $18.00 fee registration which you can pay by credit card during registration.

Meet BL at 7am.
